Getting Geared Up for the Great Singapore Sale!

At the onslaught of the Great Singapore Sale, it is our family’s customary practice to join the throngs of shoppers invading the crowded malls in Orchard Road, or any shopping vicinity in sight, for the matter. At the end of most shopping escapes, our arms would be laden with shopping bags big and small, tired but feeling happy and satisfied with our latest acquisitions.

However I have a confession to make. Many a times we end up with items we decided on a whim, items that does not really benefit us in the long run. This set me thinking. During this year’s Great Singapore Sale, should we settle for something more substantial, that would benefit our family’s health and well-being in the long-run? Like cord blood banking?

Cord blood, also known as ‘placenta blood’, is a rich source of haematopoietic stem cells that helps to treat an increasing number of diseases like lymphoma, breast cancer, thalassemia, just to name a few. Banking your baby’s cord blood capitalizes on it’s potential medical uses later, for your child and family as well. I believe that cord blood banking is an investment worth looking into as it safeguard’s the family’s health and well-being, ultimately instilling hope for a bright future ahead.

It’s time to think long-term.
