Food for Thought: To go organic or not?

Like numerous food lovers, I have a strong penchant for all kinds of good food. Thai, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian cuisines, you name it. I’m all for it.
Of late, a good friend of mine has been encouraging me to give organic food a go. Enthusiastically, she raved about the various advantages of going organic, “Organic food does away with chemical residues which are one of the culprits of causing various types of cancers. Organic meat is free of antibiotics and hormones commonly found in commercial meat production, decreasing potential risks of illnesses and diseases. In fact, there are much more nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins found in organic food, beneficial to adults and children alike. Even more so for children as they take in a higher amount of food than adults for their body weight. Goodness, there is so many benefits we can get from going organic, and the best part of it is, the food ACTUALLY tastes great! How cool is that? Seriously honey, you’re so going to love it.”

I shall take her up on that.
